Hormones are important for both men and women

Hormones have a comprehensive impact on physical and mental health. Do you know the importance of hormones for both men and women? Some people may mistakenly believe that hormones are only important for women, but in reality, hormones are also crucial for men's overall health.

Men also experience "menopause"

We know that when the hormone levels in women gradually decrease, it can lead to various physical and psychological symptoms, which we refer to as menopause. Similarly, men have many hormones in their bodies, with testosterone being the primary hormone. As men age, testosterone levels gradually decline, which can lead to some physical and mental symptoms, known as "Andropause". So, menopause is not exclusive to women, men also experience it-- Andropause.

Symptoms of Andropause

Testosterone plays many important roles in men, such as maintaining muscle mass, reducing fat, increasing metabolism, improving vitality, mental and physical strength, maintaining bone density, as well as preserving sexual desire and erectile function. Therefore, when testosterone levels start to decrease in men, it can lead to symptoms such as decreased metabolism, fatigue, lack of energy, loss of drive, loss of stamina, low mood, decreased sexual desire, and erectile dysfunction. Additionally, decreased metabolism may also contribute to obesity, resulting in weight gain and increased waist circumference, and the development of metabolic syndrome. Many studies have shown a link between declining testosterone levels in men and the occurrence of diabetes.

Testosterone replacement therapy Study: 90% of patients successfully reverse pre-diabetes!

A research study conducted by scholars from the United States and Germany was published in the prestigious medical journal <Diabetes Care>. They recruited a group of middle-aged men who exhibited symptoms of low testosterone and were diagnosed with pre-diabetes. The participants were divided into two groups, one receiving testosterone replacement therapy(TRT)and the other not. After a follow-up period of 8 years, the results showed that none of the men who received TRT developed diabetes, and 90% of them had their blood glucose levels return to normal, meaning the pre-diabetes is reversed! In contrast, nearly 40% of the men who did not receive testosterone developed diabetes, with only 1% of them having their blood glucose levels return to normal.

Benefits of testosterone replacement therapy: weight loss, reduced heart attack risk, improved quality of life, and erectile function

In terms of weight, men who received TRT experienced a weight loss of approximately 9%, while men who did not receive treatment gained about 9% in weight. Furthermore, men who received treatment had lower rates of heart attacks and mortality, improved quality of life, and better erectile function, whereas men who did not receive treatment had the opposite outcomes.

Evaluate your symptoms of low testosterone and consult a professional if needed
